One-Year Master Degree in the Management of Made in Italy offers comprehensive managerial training on the most fundamental elements of management of the products typical of ‘Made in Italy’: the ability to understand the world of fashion and design, changing consumers and the ability to keep the company’s communications, marketing, branding and retailing activities aligned with them.

Training programme
The Master's Degree in Italian Fashion, Design and Luxury Product Management and Communication offers in-depth training in the fundamental aspects of Italian product management. Students will learn to understand the world of fashion and design, deal with changes in consumer trends and acquire the necessary skills to fine-tune companies marketing, communication, branding and retailing activities.
In addition to dealing with the basic aspects of corporate management, the training will focus on:

  • the understanding of fashion and design trends, also in terms of aesthetics, planning and culture;
  • customer analysis and how customers evolve in relation to the world of fashion and interior design;
  • strategic management of marketing, communication and customer relationship tools: type of retails and communication, image and brand management, company philosophy, etc.

The goal of the Master's Degree in Italian Fashion, Design and Luxury Product Management and Communication is to train highly specialised professionals, who are increasingly sought after by fashion and design companies and by retail, communication and press companies dealing with fashion and design.

All training is strictly related to corporate business and employment in the Italian fashion world. Most of the lectures will be given by businessmen, managers, professionals, journalists and consultants whose work is directly connected to the ever-changing world of Italian-made products.

Target audience
The Master’s Degree course is aimed at people with a first-level or traditional degree from any Italian university. It is also open to foreign students who wish to broaden their knowledge of the logic behind companies whose business hinges on Italian-made products. Foreign students wishing to enrol must possess a legally recognised and corresponding degree.

The Master’s Degree course has a mandatory frequency Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.), from November 7th 2016 until May 5th 2017, at  IULM University, Via Carlo Bo, 1 - Milano

Training activities
Training activities are divided into modules, workshops, work experiences and a final test. At the end of each module students will take part in practical exercises related to the workshops they have attended and will then be required to give an assessment test in order to acquire the due university credits.

Selection consists in the evaluation of qualifications and any professional experience, and is completed with a motivational interview.

The Organizing Secretariat will indicate the dates well in advance of the talks, which will be published on the website of the Master and communicated directly to candidates.
